The act of taking off-road dirtbikes and equipping them with road-centric parts like slick street tires and big brakes has been a big part of motorcycle culture for as long as we can remember. Ducati’s Hypermotard has also been a big part of motorcycle culture for the exact reasons listed above. What happens when you take an entire wild riding style and hand it over to the Italian designers? The 2022 Ducati Hypermotard is what happens.

The Hypermotard has been carefully designed to find the perfect balance between fun and performance. The 937cc Testastretta 11° twin-cylinder motor throws down a capable 114 horsepower and 71 lb-ft of torque wrapped around a lightweight formfactor with a short wheelbase and even shorter fuse for explosive fun. A 25 degree rake and wheelbase of just under 58 inches make this motorcycle quick and agile.

Ducati’s 2022 model range brings updates to the Hypermotard in the form of large revisions to the gearbox to aid in accurate gear selection and decrease the chances of grinding gears as the 937cc Testastrettas have had a long historic problem with.

An ‘SP’ edition of the Hypermotard is available and comes standard with Ducati’s IMU-based quickshifter, special livery, upgraded Öhlins suspension and forged rims. Unlike a traditional supermoto from other manufacturers, in typical Ducati fashion the Hypermotard comes ready with Bosch six-axis IMU to aid in wheelie control, TC, and even cornering ABS.

The 2022 Ducati Hypermotard starts at $13,395 USD / $15,495 CAD.

The 2022 Ducati Hypermotard SP starts at $17,495 USD / $19,895 CAD.

On this page: we’ve curated specs, features, news, photos/videos, etc. so you can read up on the new 2022 Ducati Hypermotard in one place.
